The CONTROLO 2026 Conference invites submissions to the Work-in-Progress (WiP) track, providing a platform for researchers, professionals, and students to present and discuss ongoing research, emerging ideas, and preliminary results in the broad field of control systems and related areas.

The WiP papers offer an excellent opportunity to share innovative concepts and early-stage developments with the community, receive feedback, and foster collaborations. This track is particularly suited for:

• Novel and promising research that is still in progress.
• Preliminary results or early experimental findings.
• Innovative ideas, open problems, or new research directions.
• Ongoing projects with significant potential impact.
• Collaborative R&D projects involving industry partners.

Submissions should describe original and unpublished work that is not yet mature enough for a full paper but is of clear interest to the conference audience.

Submission Guidelines

• WiP papers must be written in English.
• Maximum length: two (2) pages (including figures and references).
• Submissions must be made through the conference submission system, selecting the Work in Progress (WiP) track. Here.
• Papers should follow the standard conference formatting guidelines (IEEE two-column format).

Presentation Format

WiP papers contributors are expected to give a short presentation of their work and to prepare a poster allowing authors to interact closely with attendees and discuss their work in an informal setting.

Topics of Interests

The WiP submissions are welcome in all topics covered by CONTROLO 2026 here.

WiP papers are not fully peer reviewed (they will be checked for fitness and appropriateness with the conference), and hence won’t be included in the IEEE proceedings and therefore will not be published. The WiP papers will be in the preprints and distributed to all conference participants.
